Thanks for stopping by.
I'm a freelance reporter living in Oakland, California enjoying life on the sunny side of the bay. I write about Bay Area businesses, personalities, and trends for both local and national outlets, in addition to covering travel, food, home design, and, really, any type of story if it's interesting enough.
If you're looking to get touch with me with a story idea or assignment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I also serve as editor-in-chief of The Bold Italic, a digital magazine that aims to capture the free-wheeling spirit of San Fransisco and the Bay Area at large. We publish daily and have a large following in the Bay and California at large.
If you're looking to get in touch with me for The Bold Italic, please email me at email@example.com.
A little more background on me, if you're still interest: I'm originally from Iowa City, Iowa, home to the Hawkeyes, the world's best coffee shop, and the iconic Writers' Workshop. I graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in journalism and international affairs, and during my time there, wrote and edited at the student newspaper, The Daily Iowan.
Post-graduation, I worked for several years in foreign affairs and non-profit communications in Washington, DC before moving out to the Bay Area in 2016 to work in tech. After year out West, I decided to take the leap back into journalism as a freelancer — and here I am now.
Here's to the hustle!
