Hi! Ciao!

I’m Clara—I’m a travel writer from
the U.S. now living in Bologna, Italy.
After many years living in and writing
about California, I’ve relocated to
Europe with my family, including two
young daughters.

At a time of overconsumption and
overtourism, I love helping travelers
find ways to have meaningful,
unexpected and uncrowded
experiences.

I also love writing about family travel,
sharing ideas for where and how to
explore the world with kids in tow.

I am an experienced writer and editor,
published in outlets including the BBC,
the Guardian, Time Out, the San
Francisco Chronicle, Eater, and more.
